    It is indeed type II as listed and passed all my inspections for safety at my job site. Highly recommend. It is comfortable but very hot so be prepared for that. It says it is vented but man it does not make any difference in this summer heat. Fully adjustable high quality hard hat.

    Well build. Feels way stronger then Type 1. Perfect for moderate forestry activity without biting the bullet and purchasing more expensive models. Would buy again.

    Design flaw

    Not typical hardhat suspension. Only has the one strap around the head. Otherwise the actual helmet sits on your head. Maybe if it were custom molded to your head it would be comfortable, but it didn't work for me. Also, it was heavier than expected.

    Helmet Meeting OSHA Standards

    Overall this is a comfortable to wear helmet which meets OSHA standards.

    Nonetheless I did encounter one issue. The instructions to install the Dewalt visor attachment suggest detaching the front of the suspension system. The right front clip of the suspension system was readily detached by my pulling on it. Nonetheless I found it impossible to detach the left front clip without risking breaking it. But I was able to work around installing the visor without detaching the left clip.
